Robert “Robby” Chambliss


Mr. Robert “Robby” Chambliss, 61, passed away on Thursday, January 24, 2013, in the  Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, Mississippi.  Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Friday, January 25, 2013, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville.
 Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, January 26, 2013, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Wayne Hill and Guy Woodward officiating.  Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Chambliss was born November 5, 1951.  He was a member of Macedonia Baptist Church in Louisville.  Robby retired as an Engineer and Conductor for the Columbus and Greenville Railroad.  He easily made friends everywhere he traveled never meeting a stranger loving his family and friends dearly.
Mr. Chambliss is survived by his wife,  Janice Moody Chambliss of Louisville, Mississippi; his daughter, Corrine Chambliss Taylor and husband, Vance, of Brooksville, Mississippi; and son, Michael Chambliss and wife, Vicki, also of Louisville.  Robby is also survived by two sisters, Judy Mayo and husband, Larry, of Louisville; and Frances Carr and husband, Anthony, of Starkville, Mississippi; and a sister-in-law, Paula Chambliss of Pearl, Mississippi.  He has five grandchildren:  Jordan Chambliss, Raegan Chambliss, Caroline Taylor, Jordan Taylor, and Kendall Taylor.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Audy and Joaquin Prisock Chambliss; and two brothers, Gilbert “Gibby” Chambliss and James Coley Chambliss. 
Serving as pallbearers will be Guy Woodward, Ronnie Dean Eubanks, Zac Darby, Burr Warner, Mark Covington, Rusty Reed, Lenny Fulton, and Brian Burrage.  Honorary pallbearers will be:  Johnny Woodward, Mark Woodward, Douglas Woodward, Scott Woodward, John Woodward, III, Davis Woodward, John Darby, Paul Darby, Jr., Kevin Weeks, Kenny Joe Hanna, David Covington, Bobby Moody, and John DePriest.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that memorials be given to the T. K. Martin Center for Disability and Technology, P. O.
