James Harold Kemp

Mr. James Harold Kemp, 73, passed away on Wednesday, January 9, 2013, at Anderson's Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. to 8 p.m. on Thursday, January 10, 2013, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, January 11, 2013, in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Jerry Lundy and Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Born on January 10, 1939, Mr. Kemp was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He retired after 38 years from Taylor Machine Works and was also a veteran and served in the National Guard. He enjoyed hunting and fishing and spending time with his family, especially his granddaughter.
Mr. Kemp is survived by his wife of 56 years, Sylvia Stokes Kemp; son, Tony Kemp; daughter, Kymberleigh Kemp James and husband, Danny; granddaughter, Bella James; and sisters, Shirley Ann Kemp (Billy) Moody and Judy Kemp (I. W.) Horton, all of Louisville, Mississippi. He is preceded in death by his parents, J. W. and Ludie Goodin Kemp.

Serving as pallbearers will be Mike Fuller, Gerald Ray Goodin, Robert Goodin, Brent Horton, William Moody, and Johnny Richardson. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS is handling the arrangements.
