Mr. George Warren Westbrook, 80, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2011, at St. Dominic Hospital in Jackson, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Tuesday, November 29, 2011, from 6:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. and on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, from 12 noon until service time. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at First Baptist Church in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Carless Evans and Dr. Paul Blanchard officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Mr. Westbrook was born February 16, 1931. He was the owner of Westbrook Funeral Home, from which he retired after 31 years of service, and he was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville.
Mr. Westbrook is survived by his daughter, Pam Westbrook Smith of Louisville, Mississippi; and by his son, Ronald B. Westbrook and wife, Valorie, of Little Rock, Mississippi. He is also survived by two sisters, Yvonnie Walker and husband, Pete, and Peggy Williamson and husband, Charlie, all of Mendenhall, Mississippi. Mr. Westbrook also has three grandchildren: Rachel Smith, Warren Hastings Westbrook and wife, Krystal, and Robert Bailey Westbrook, and one great-grandchild, Anna Kate Westbrook. He is preceded in death by his wife, Pat Westbrook, and by his parents, Virgil T. and Stella Warren Westbrook.
Pallbearers will be Mike Williams, Hastings Westbrook, Robert Westbrook, Wayne Walker, Greg Williamson, and Terry Williamson.
