Mrs. Alice S. Hailey, 92, passed away on Tuesday, November 15, 2011, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, from 12:00 noon until service time. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, November 16, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Chris Vowell and Rev. Jason Gross officiating. Interment will be in Hailey-Richey Cemetery in Preston, Mississippi.
Mrs. Hailey was born November 13, 1919. She was a member of Mt. Hebron United Methodist Church, and she was a homemaker.
Mrs. Hailey is survived by two sons: Robert Wade Hailey and wife, Peggy; and James Lamar Hailey and wife, Bonnie Kay, all of Louisville, Mississippi. She is also survived by four grandchildren: Malcolm Hailey and wife, Mandy; Allen Hailey and wife, Leigh Ann; Belynda Luke and husband, Chip; and April Bane and husband, Dave. She also has five great-grandchildren: Laura Beth Hailey, Kady Rose Hailey, Tanner and Tatum Luke, and Braxton Bane. She is preceded in death by her husband, J. T. Hailey, and her parents, Robert E. and Annie Jane Gully Scarborough.
Pallbearers will be Wayne Moody, Wade Hailey, Malcolm Hailey, Allen Hailey, Dave Bane, and Chip Luke. Serving as honorary pallbearers will be Billy Moody, Bobby Moody, and Ed VanDevender.
