Mr. Ellis G. Blackwell, 74, passed away on Wednesday, November 30, 2011, at Winston Medical Center in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday, December 1, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, December 2, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mr. Blackwell was born December 27, 1936, in Raleigh, Mississippi. He was a Mason and Shriner. In addition to his wife, Marchelle, Mr. Blackwell is survived by his daughter Stacie VanLandingham and husband, Barry, of Louisville, Mississippi, and his son, Chris Blackwell, of Philadelphia, Mississippi. He is also survived by two grandchildren, Sophie and Blaine VanLandingham. In addition, Mr. Blackwell has four brothers: Fred Blackwell and wife, Phyllis; Kenneth Blackwell and wife, Peggy; Larry Blackwell and Harold (Hal) Blackwell.
