Services for James Paul Wilkerson will be held Thursday, at 10 a.m., at John E. Stephens Chapel with Rev. Charles Rook officiating. John E. Stephens Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
Mr. Wilkerson, 78, passed away on Tuesday, July 26, 2011 at Anderson Regional Medical Center in Meridian, MS. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church.
Mr. Wilkerson was born and reared in Neshoba County and enjoyed fishing, watching the New Orleans Saints and reading the newspaper, especially the sports section.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Johnnie Odell Wilkerson and Lacie Viola Stephens Wilkerson; daughter, Dianne; son, Roe Ross; sisters, Ada Mae Thrash and Willie Jean Wells; brothers, Buddy Wilkerson and Otis Wilkerson.
Survivors include daughters, Nancy Wilson of Spring, TX and Linda Jean Adams of Tomball, TX; companion/friend, Delle Lovorn of Louisville, MS; sisters, Mavis Dees of Raymond, MS, Frances Page of Phila, MS and Faye Hoyt of Pearl, MS; brothers, Bob Wilkerson and Steve Wilkerson, both of Phila, MS; 4 grandchildren, 5 great-grandchildren and a host of nieces and nephews.
Pallbearers were Dwight Dees, Keith Page, Ben Wells, Rob Hoyt, Richard Lovorn and Joey Johnson.
