Mrs. Bulah Kirk, 97, passed away on Saturday, March 12, 2011, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi, with her loving family at her side. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, on Monday, March 14, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 11:00 a.m. on Tuesday, March 15, 2011, at the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with burial following in Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery with Rev. Junior Davis, Rev. Walter Simmons, and Rev. Bobby Joe Butler officiating. Mrs. Kirk was born on September 2, 1913, to Willie Frank and Colie Elizabeth Covington Hooks. She was a homemaker and a member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church.
Mrs. Kirk is survived by two daughters: Betty Kirk Jessee and Dianne Kirk Hicks and husband, Duane, all of Louisville; daughter-in-law, Loretta Kirk of Noxapater, Mississippi; two sons: Billy Kirk and wife, Judy, and Ben Kirk and wife, Pam, all of Louisville; 10 grandcildren, 17 great-grandchildren and 6 great-great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband, William W. Kirk and son, Bobby Kirk.
Pallbearers will be Brantly Jackson, Bruce Kirk, Clay Jessee, Massey Kirk, Mike Walker, Benjamin Kirk, Barry Jackson and Kirk Sisson. Memorials may be made to Murphy Creek Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, 1637 Boon Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
