Winnie Fay Alexander Clark, age 88, passed away on Saturday, September 26, 2026, at her home in Winston County, surrounded by those she loved. Funeral services will be 2:30 p.m. Monday, September 28, at Liberty Baptist Church in Noxapater, Mississippi, with Bro. Ben McDaniel officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at the church from 1:30 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery.
Winnie was born September 30, 1937, to Russell and Aria Adcock Alexander in Winston County. She was a faithful member of Liberty Baptist Church. Winnie was a loving homemaker who enjoyed taking care of her family. Her passion was for baking, especially cakes and pies to share with family and friends. Winnie and her husband, Billy Wade, also shared many years working side by side as co-owners of Clark Grocery.
Winnie is survived by her three children: Cynthia Kay Clark, Elizabeth Lynn (Jimmy) Alexander, and Chris (Stacey) Clark. One of her greatest joys was being “Mam Maw” to her four grandchildren: Kayla, Cole (Danielle), Amanda (Kent), and Cody (Brooke); as well as her two great-grandchildren: Hadley Kate Clark and Ryder Hayes Clark. She is also survived by two sisters, Patsy Moore (Lavone) and Shirley Griffin; in addition to a host of loving nieces, nephews, extended family members, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Billy Wade Clark; her parents, and five siblings: Lucille Todd, Prentiss Alexander, Gladys Myers, Eudine Bennett, and infant brother, Doris Alexander.
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Clark, Jimmy Alexander, Cole Clark, Cody Clark, Kent Renfroe, and Dennis Duran.
Memorials in honor of Winnie may be given to Liberty Baptist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Chet Wilkes, 1784 Tuck Wilkes Road, Noxapater, MS 39346.
