Freddy Fulcher

Mr. Freddy Fulcher, age 76, of Louisville, Mississippi, passed away on Tuesday, September 23, 2025.

Freddy devoted his life to hard work, family, and faith. He retired from Georgia Pacific after many years of service and later continued his passion for the outdoors as owner and operator of Fulcher Logging, Inc., a business he proudly ran alongside his son, Scott Fulcher. Scott preceded him in death, and together they leave behind a lasting legacy of perseverance and strength.

Beyond his profession, Freddy cherished the quiet moments that brought him joy—casting a line on the water, waiting patiently for a fish to bite, and finding serenity in the stillness of nature. He loved his animals and found happiness in caring for them.

Freddy was a man who loved people as much as he loved the outdoors. He had a way of making friends wherever he went, always quick with a smile, a good story, or a helping hand. His presence filled a room, and his laughter was contagious.

Family was his greatest treasure. He was a devoted husband, a loving father, and a proud grandfather who never missed a chance to spend time with those he loved most.

His legacy is carried on in the lessons he taught, the values he lived by, and the countless memories shared with his family and friends.

He is survived by his loving wife of 23 years, Patsy Nowell Fulcher; and his children: Julie (Slade) Fancher, Emily Miles, Jennifer Fulcher, Brandi (Richard) Randle, and Tracie (Paul) Starnes all of Louisville, and Marty (Leigh) McPherson of Vardaman, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppa” to his 13 grandchildren: Emma Rae (Noah) Dempsey, Max Fulcher, Aiden Fancher, Ainsley Fancher, Edie Miles, Jagger Miles, Jake (Katie) Carter, Logan Carter, LeAnna Carter, Drew (McKenzie) McPherson, Austin McPherson, Cooper Randle, and Madi Ann Randle; and his great-grandson, Corbin McPherson. He is also survived by his sister, Jackie (Don) Foreman; as well as his loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends. Freddy was preceded in death by his first wife, Judy Fulcher; his son, Scott Fulcher; his grandsons, Maddox Miles and Corey McPherson; his parents, Jack and Ruth Fulcher; and his sister, Linda Whitehead.

A service to honor his life will be held on Wednesday, September 24th at 5:00 p.m. at Murphy Creek Baptist Church with Bro. Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at the church from 3 p.m. until service time. Interment will immediately follow the service in Murphy Creek Cemetery. All who knew and loved him are welcome to attend and celebrate his life.

Serving as pallbearers are his grandsons: Aiden Fancher, Max Fulcher, Jagger Miles, Jake Carter, Logan Carter, and Cooper Randle. Honorary pallbearers include members of the Murphy Creek Senior Men’s Sunday School class, along with Duane Culpepper, Darry Crowell, Quinton Hill, Arnie Strait, and Bobo Ming. Memorials in honor of Freddy may be made to the Murphy Creek Cemetery Fund, 1405 Bond Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
