Joyce N. Kemp, 86, passed away Friday, August 5, 2022, at her residence near Ackerman, MS. She was born May 21, 1936, in Choctaw County, MS to Thomas Clifton and Verna Estelle(Hopkins) Nowell. Mrs. Kemp was a member of the Ackerman Church of Christ. She was a wife, mother, homemaker, and kept children in her home for many years.
Funeral Services will be held on Tuesday August 9, 2022 at 12:00 PM at Ackerman Church of Christ with Bro. Paul Mowrer officiating. Visitation will be held one hour prior to service time beginning at 11:00 a.m. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of arrangements.
Mrs. Kemp is survived by 3 daughters, Melissa(Ranny) Jones of Ackerman, MS, Angie(Jamie) Simpson of Ackerman, MS, and Joni(Jonathan) Weeks of Ackerman, MS; 3 sons, Dewain Lee of Ackerman, MS, Perry(Tina) Lee of Ackerman, MS, and Gary(Sherry) Lee of Ackerman, MS; 2 sisters, Patsy(Freddy) Fulcher of Louisville, MS, and Loyce(Jerry) Dunn of Brandon, MS; 3 brothers, Lennis(Janice) Nowell of Corinth, MS, Jackie(Teresa) Nowell of Stewart, MS, and Terry(Linda) Nowell of Stewart, MS; 16 grandchildren, and 27 great-grandchildren.
Mrs. Kemp is preceded in death by her husband, W.L. Kemp; her parents; 1 son, Walter Eric Kemp; 4 brothers, and 1 sister.
