Nancy Ruth Atkinson Henson passed away on Thursday, December 23, 2021, at Choctaw County Medical Center in Ackerman, MS. Mrs. Henson was born August 1, 1932, in Choctaw County, Alabama, to William E. and Elvie(Alford) Atkinson. She was 89 years old. Mrs. Henson was a retired business owner.
Funeral services will be held on Tuesday, December 28, 2021, 1:00 p.m., at Coleman Funeral Home with Rev. Scott Broughton, Rev. Doug Atkinson, and Ronny Prewitt officiating. Burial will follow at Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held Tuesday beginning at 11:00 a.m. till service time at Coleman Funeral Home.
The family requests that caution be taken to prevent further spread of Covid.
Mrs. Henson is survived by 1 daughter, Nancy Diane(Ronnie) Rhyne of Ackerman, MS; 1 granddaughter, Ashleigh(Ryan) Stansbury of Brandon, MS; and 2 great-grandchildren, Harper Gayle and Ethan Kent Stansbury of Brandon, MS.
Mrs. Henson is preceded in death by her husband, Billy Kent Henson, Sr.; her parents; 1 daughter, Billie Gayle Henson; 1 son, Billy Kent Henson, Jr.; 3 sisters and 6 brothers.
