Wayne was born September 14, 1955, to Thomas Leo and Warine Watkins Rogers in Louisville, Mississippi. He was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. Wayne also enjoyed riding around talking and visiting with anyone he met on his daily journey but his special ministry was visiting those who were shut-in every day.
Wayne is survived by his siblings: Joanne Rogers Cheatham and Douglas Rogers both of Louisville, Pam Rogers Putt and Alice Rogers Bassett both of Starkville. He is also survived by his niece Courtney Rogers and two nephews Chad Cheatham and Tyler Duncan. Wayne is preceded in death by his parents, his niece Brittany Bassett, great-niece Lexie Bassett, and great-nephew Chris Perry Benson.
