Jasper was born December 8, 1949, in the Liberty community of Winston County. He retired after 34 years as a lineman with Louisville Utilities. Jasper enjoyed spending time with his children and grandchildren.
He was preceded in death by his parents, Oma S. and Eva Dean Johnson; a daughter, Corabell Jackson; a sister, Mary Jane Johnson; and a brother, Oma Lynn Johnson.
He is survived by his wife, Brenda Johnson of Louisville; six children, Dorthea Puckett , Brenda Watkins, Brandee (Cody) Hays, all of Louisville, Alexander (Inez) Johnson of Knoxville, TN; Crystal (Keith) Bridges of Meridian, MS; and Kristin (John) Dickerson of Noxapater, MS; a sister, Eva Sue Clay of Noxapater, MS; a brother, David Johnson of Arkansas; grandchildren, Roger (Hannah) Towne,, Joseph (Hailey) Towne, Austin Criddle, Logan Johnson, Boyce Chaligoj, Steven Chaligoj, Kyle Bridges, Matthew Bridges, Bella Bridges, Madelie Edwards, Gracie Edwards, Aiden Reed, Will Ford, Kaleb McBride, Ashton Dempsey, Ava Hays, Hayden Hays, and Scarlett Hays.
