Gerald Bane Bridges, 62, passed away on Wednesday, April 7, 2021, at his home in Ridgeland, Mississippi. Graveside services and interment will be 2 p.m. Saturday, April 10 at Memorial Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be the day of the service from 1 p.m. until service time at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home.
Gerald was born July 16, 1958, to Theo Farish Bridges, Sr. and Ilene Bane Bridges. He was a graduate of Louisville High School Class of 1976 and attended East Central Junior College. Gerald enjoyed reading especially his devotional books each day. He also enjoyed collecting, recording, and sharing quotes that he heard. With his outgoing personality and love of life, he never met a stranger and making friends came easily to him.
Gerald is survived by three children: Nolan Riley (Jessica) Bridges of Navarre, Florida, Kenneth Marshall Bridges of Jackson, Mississippi, and Eva Alana Bridges (Clint) Clark of Morton, Mississippi, as well as his six grandchildren. He also leaves behind his siblings: Bettye Bridges (Cary) Cox of Madison, Mississippi, Donna Bridges (Jim) Bell of Caledonia, Mississippi, and T. F. (Theresa) Bridges, Jr. of Louisville. Gerald is preceded in death by his parents.
Serving as pallbearers are Cary Cox, Jim Bell, Matthew Stewart, Bradley Bridges, David Stewart, Jr., and Randy Spell.
