Martha Sue Farish Snow Morris

Martha Sue Farish Snow Morris, a native of the Stallo community of Neshoba County, died Wednesday Dec. 4, 2019, at her residence in Myrtle Beach, SC. She was 85.

Sue (SueSue to her grands and great-grands), was born in Hazelhurst, the oldest child of the late Obe and Elsie (Harper) Farish. Growing up in Stallo, she spent many happy, carefree days playing with her siblings and close cousins and friends. She was a graduate of Noxapater High School. After graduation, she moved to Vicksburg where she worked as a telephone operator before marrying and raising her family in Vicksburg with her first husband, Homer Snow.

She remained in Vicksburg after the death of her husband until she reconnected with a former high school classmate, George Morris. They married and she moved to Myrtle Beach where she lived for the past 10 years. She was a member of the First Baptist Church Myrtle Beach and was an avid reader.

Other than her first husband, she was preceded in death by a great- granddaughter, Laiken Cole, and a son-in-law, Bert Parsons.

Survivors other than her husband include: two sons, Michael (Kay) Snow of Philadelphia and Shannon (Melissa) Snow of Slidell, LA; two daughters, Connie (Ben) Franklin of Boone, NC and Pamela Parsons of Brandon; seven grandchildren, Chris Snow, Brayden Snow, Kayla Grace Snow, William Parsons, Laura Cole, Carlee Fairchild and Brooks Norris; two great-grandchildren, Sawyer Fairchild and Connor Munday; a brother, Obe Farish of Dothan, AL; three sisters, Peggy Tucker of Hewitt, TX, Carol Vickers of Decatur, and Rebecca Smith of Louisville.

The family will receive friends at 10 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 7 at John E. Stephens Chapel in Philadelphia. Interment will follow at 11:30 a.m. in the Snow Family Cemetery, Stallo,
Serving as pallbearers are Chris Snow, Brayden Snow, Neil Snow, Jerry Smith, Jerry Greenlee and Howard Cole.

A funeral service was also held Thursday, December 5, 2019 at First Baptist Church of Myrtle Beach.
