Visitation will be the day of the service from 12:30 p.m. until service time at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Alvin Ralph was born November 11, 1936, to Alvin Earl and Enid Schoolar Kirk. He was a member of Harmony Baptist Church. He retired after devoting 30 years to Taylor Machine Works in the Machinery Department and was very proud to show everyone his commemorative 25-year watch. Ralph also enjoyed growing vegetables in his garden until he was physically unable to do so; and he liked feeding and watching the birds that played in his yard. He adored his dog “JoJo” treating him more like he was a human; and he enjoyed dog sitting “Spanky” and “Poochy”.

Ralph is survived by two sisters Kathryn Kirk of Louisville; and Lavada Robertson and husband Bobby of St. Charles, Missouri; and three brothers Roger Kirk and wife Gloria; Earl Randolph Kirk; and Sam Kirk and wife Barbara all of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being a grandfather figure or “PaPa” to Sam (Ashley) Dempsey; and Brodie Dempsey (Matt) Ward; as well as their children: Lawson Dempsey, Laura Elizabeth Dempsey, Rhett Aman, and Maddie Ward. He was preceded in death by his wife Betty Goleman Kirk; his son Alvin Ralph Kirk, Jr.; his parents; and his sister Lola Kirk.

Memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Kirk may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
