Wendell L. Fox

Wendell Fox, 68, passed away on Wednesday, January 23, 2019, at Choctaw County Nursing Home in Ackerman, Mississippi. Funeral services will be 2 p.m. Sunday, January 27, 2019, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Mr. Gale Gregory officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell Massey Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Wendell was born August 24, 1950, to James and Pollie Lovorn Fox. He was a member of Enon Baptist Church and graduated in 1970 from Nanih Waiya Attendance Center. He enjoyed baseball and being an Umpire as well as being a freelance photographer. Wendell worked at the convenience store with his mother; as well as serving his community as a fire fighter with the Nanih Waiya Fire Department.

Wendell is survived by his guardian, Dorothy Lovorn; and his aunt, Amanda Lovorn both of Louisville; as well as a host of cousins. He also leaves behind two special cousins, Emily (Ray) McIlwain and John (Jackie) Lovorn. Wendell was preceded in death by his parents, his special first cousin, Robbie Lovorn; and his grandparents, Booker and Annie C. Fox.
