Lloyd Heard

Johnny Lloyd Heard, 63, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, September 22, 2018, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Friday, September 28, 2018, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be 10 a.m. Saturday, September 29, 2018, at Macon Pentecostal Church in Macon, Mississippi, with Rev. Jimmy Guy officiating. Visitation will also be the day of the service at the church from 9:00 a.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Good Hope Cemetery in Winston County.

Lloyd was born September 22, 1955, in Winston County, Mississippi, to Bill and Peggy Heard. He was a faithful member of Macon Pentecostal Church. Lloyd was employed at Dixie Wholesale Waterworks for 24 years. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed working in his yard and his garden. His quick wit and funny personality rewarded him with many friends. He dearly loved his family, his church family, and his work family.

Lloyd is survived by his wife of 42 years, Janet Kemp Heard of Louisville. He also leaves behind to mourn his passing his three children: Bridget Holdiness and husband, Jay, of Macon; Brandon Heard and wife, Melinda, of Louisville; and Brittany Eyer and husband, Brady, of Cincinnati, Ohio. One of his greatest joys was being “BawBaw” to his grandchildren: Cole Holdiness, Baylee Holdiness, Jack Heard, Ava Heard, Tara Heard, Luca Eyer, and Emma Eyer. He is also survived by his mother, Peggy Wade Heard; two brothers, Billy Heard and wife, Judy; and Danny Heard and wife, Donna, all of Louisville; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, great-nieces, great-nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his father; and his brother, Michael Heard.

Serving as pallbearers are Tyler Guy, Brad Guy, Steve Moore, Dillon Peterson, Kevin Pitre, and Evans Thomas. Honorary pallbearers will be Trey Shaw, Danny Hill, Albert Moore, James Hanna, employees of Dixie Wholesale Waterworks, Bradley Heard, Brian Heard, Jared Kemp, Kevin Warner, Levi Warner, Logan Warner, Taylor Moody, Tyler Harris, Bryce Eaton, and Brent Eaton. Memorial contributions in honor of Lloyd may be given to Macon Pentecostal Church, 14529 Highway 45, Macon, MS 39341 or to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
