Helen Marie Gregory, 81, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Saturday, February 28, 2015, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be on Monday, March 2, 2015, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 1 p.m. on Tuesday, March 3, 2015, at Harmony Baptist Church with Rev. Jerry Lundy and Rev. Charles Rook officiating. Interment will follow in Harmony Baptist Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Gregory was born on April 30, 1933, to I. F. and Gillie Barnes McKinley. She was a member of Harmony Baptist Church, and she retired from Spartus Corporation.
She is survived by her daughter, Mary Kathryn Gregory Rogers, and husband, Bill, of Louisville; and two grandchildren, William Rogers and wife, Amy; and Stephanie Hoskins and husband, Michael. She is also survived by five great-grandchildren: Charles William Rogers, Will Rogers, Ahlevia Hoskins, Mary Hoskins, and Lily Hoskins. Mrs. Gregory also leaves one brother, Jerry McKinley of Macon, Georgia; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Charles Wayne Gregory; her parents; six sisters, Lucille Swearingen, Grace Pickett, Myrle Jernigan, Bessie Moody, Frances Robertson, and Doris McKinley; and two brothers, J. D. McKinley and Billy Joe McKinley.
Serving as pallbearers will be Billy Burrage, Jimmy Burrage, Larry Gregory, David Jernigan, Walter Jernigan, Tommy McKinley, Harvey Swearingen, and Benny Turner. Honorary pallbearers will be Donnie Gregory, Jimmy Gregory, and Henry Jernigan.
