Pauline Gazaway

Mrs. Pauline Gazaway, 82, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Thursday, May 8, 2014, at the Oktibbeha County Hospital Regional Medical Center in Starkville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Saturday, May 10, 2014, from 10 a.m. until service time at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Memorial services will be held at 11 a.m. on the day of the visitation in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel with Rev. Phil Fancher officiating. A private interment will follow at a later date in BethedenLutheran Church Cemetery.
Mrs. Gazaway was born on February 2, 1932, to Mary Belle Azwall Shaw and Robert Shaw. She was a member of Antioch Baptist Church and she was a homemaker.

She is survived by two daughters, Bettie Gazaway Prisock Glass (Albert) and Jackie Gazaway Hodges all of Louisville; and by two sons, Billy Gazaway of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and Johnny Gazaway (Glenda) of Brooksville, Mississippi. Mrs. Gazaway also has two sisters, Minnie Pearl VonKanal (Herman) of Caledonia, Mississippi; and Sara Moore (Billy) also of Brooksville; and by two brothers, Walter Rushing of Vernon, Alabama; and Buddy Rushing (Sue) of West Point, Mississippi. She has seven grandchildren: Amanda Barfoot (Bryan Guess); Marcus (Misty) Barfoot; David Austin (Valeria) Prisock; Eric (Laurie) Hodges; Tyler Hodges; Glenn Gazaway; and Brandi Gazaway; and 12 great-grandchildren: Holyn and Bailey Prisock; Ethan Jones; Taylor Jones; Paden Prisock; Clay Hodges; Dayna Hodges; Faith Schillaci; Gracie Schillaci; Courtney Barfoot; Christian Barfoot; and Jalil JaydenMcCarter. Pauline was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Gazaway; her son, Carl Wayne Gazaway; brothers, Lonny Robinson, Bill and Joe Rushing; and Robert Wayne Rushing; and her daughter-in-law, Judy Mae Gazaway; and her parents.

Services are under the direction of Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS. Memories and condolences may be shared with the family by signing the guest register at
