Nancy Young Hanna

Ms. Nancy Young Hanna, 78, passed away on Sunday, April 7, 2013, at her residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Tuesday, April 9, 2013, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 10, 2013, atFirst United Methodist Church with Rev. Mike Childs officiating. Interment will be in Masonic Cemetery.

Ms. Hanna was born on April 20, 1934, to Q. C. and Emily Chambliss Young. She was a member of First United Methodist Church and an active member of the Relay for Life Cancer Survivor Team of Winston County. Nancy was also an active member of the Ed Livingston Sunday School Class atFirst Methodist Church and she has served many families in Winston County in her capacity as secretary at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home.

Ms. Hanna is survived by her son, Hal Hanna; her grandson, Chase Hanna and wife, Jessica, and great-granddaughter, Chloe Hanna, all ofLouisville. She is also survived by two sisters, Frances Hill and Bobbye Mills also of Louisville, as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. Nancywas preceded in death by her parents; three sisters, Charlotte Webb, Jewel Hembree, and Rose Mary Pearson; and her brother, Quintus Young.

Pallbearers will be Ken Mills, Brian Mills, Jason Stewart, Cody Stewart, Adam Horton, and Leslie Smyth. Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society, c/o Penny’s From Heaven, 532 E. Main Street, Louisville, MS or to the Ed Livingston Sunday School Class, c/o First UnitedMethodist Church, 300 W. Main Street, Louisville, MS 39339.
