Earnest "Spark Plug" Stevenson

Mr. Earnest "Spark Plug" Stevenson, 85, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2012, at his residence in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Thursday, December 27, 2012, from 5:00 p.m. until 8 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. on Friday, December 28, 2012, at Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church with Rev. Roger Griffin officiating. Interment will be in Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church Cemetery.

Born on August 15, 1927, Mr. Stevenson was a member of Mt. Zion Presbyterian Church. He was a retired school bus driver for Choctaw County Schools.

Mr. Stevenson is survived by four daughters: Sherry Burton of Louisville, Mississippi; Shelia Burton and husband, Douglas, of McCool, Mississippi; Gena Stevenson of Madison, Mississippi; and Sylvia Reed and husband, Larry, also of Louisville; and two sons, Kenny Stevenson and wife, Glenda; and Stevie Stevenson and wife, Leslie, all of McCool. He is also survived by 14 grandchildren and 20 great-grandchildren. He is preceded in death by his parents, Bunyon and Commila Wasson Stevenson.

Pallbearers will be Floyd Morgan, Steve Hodges, Matt Mayo, Leon Stevenson, and Chris Stevenson. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, 724 North Columbus Avenue, Louisville, MS is handling the arrangements.
