On, February 16, 2025, Victoria Ann Jolley Carlisle was welcomed into the loving arms of her Lord as she joined her blessed family members in heaven.

Funeral services will be held at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, on Thursday, February 20, 2025, at 12:00 PM, with visitation preceding the service at 11:00 AM. Alex Coblentz will be officiating. Internment will follow the service at Enon Cemetery.

“Vickki” Carlisle was born on January 5, 1953 to James and Virgina Jolley. Because of her parents’ illnesses, she spent ample time with her beloved second mother, her Aunt Belvia Horton. In 1972, she married her husband of 52 years, William Thomas Carlisle. They had two children, Kimberly and Jack. Vickki’s greatest calling in life was being a mother. She was a profoundly selfless and always placed her children’s needs above her own.

Vickki was a member of French Camp Presbyterian Church. She also served as a school secretary and book keeper at Ackerman Elementary School for over 30 years, where she left a lasting impact on generations of students and formed lifelong friendships with her coworkers. She retired in 2020.

Because her daughter suffered from infertility, Vickki prayed for years that Kimberly would be able to have a child, and in 2017, Kimberly and her husband Craig adopted their daughter, Riley. As Vickki’s only grandchild, Riley was one of the greatest joysof her life, and she cherished every second she got to spend with her.

Vickki described herself as a simple woman, but in truth, she was extraordinary. She had remarkable strength and courage, facing and overcoming cancer twice. A profound nurturer, she loved deeply, and everyone who encountered her felt the warmth of her kindness. She found joy in the simple things—spending time with her family, watching birds from her kitchen window, and vacationing in Fort Morgan, Alabama, where the sound of the waves brought her peace.

Vickki is preceded in death by her parents, Virginia Mae Schaffner Jolley and James Dewitt Jolley; her second mother, Belvia Wilmetta Schaffner Horton (Howard); her sisters, Glenda Jolley McMillin (Jim) and Carol Jolley Turnipseed (Don); and her brother, John Frank Jolley.

She is survived by the love of her life, her husband William Thomas Carlisle; her two beloved children, Jack Patterson Carlisle and Kimberly Jolley Carlisle Coghlan (Craig); her precious granddaughter, Riley Carlisle Coghlan; and a large, loving family of nieces, nephews, grand-nieces, grand-nephews, cousins, and dear friends who will forever cherish her memory.

Pallbearers will be Drew Cravens, Criss Turnipseed, Glenn Blaine, Austin Blaine, Scott Evans, and Craig Coghlan. Honorary pallbearers will be Michael Cravens, Mark Cravens, Keith Cravens, Cole Cravens, Paul Cravens, and Will Evans
