John Felix Massey

John Felix Massey, 78, passed away on Wednesday, December 30, 2020, at Anderson Hospital in Meridian, Mississippi. A graveside service and interment will be held at 2 p.m. on Sunday, January 3 at Craig Springs Cemetery in Oktibbeha County with Bro. Charles Smith officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, from 12:30 p.m. until 1:30 p.m.

Felix was the youngest of five children born to J. D. Massey and Grace Scarbrough Kelley. He was a workaholic and the owner of Massey Construction Company. He loved being outside and enjoyed fishing and hunting as well as keeping his yard mowed.

Felix is survived by his daughter Marilyn Massey of Mantee, Mississippi; and son John Massey and wife Kelly of Mathiston, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys was being “Poppa” to his three granddaughters: Holly, Liz, and Summer Massey. He also leaves behind a sister Gladys Massey Wylie as well as many loving nieces and nephews. Felix was preceded in death by his parents, and three brothers Burnice, Ralph, and Paul Massey.

Serving as pallbearers are Brad Bradford, Carnell “Cowboy” Evans, Larry Kennedy, Chris Pinnix, Caden Stites, and Jeremy Threadgill.
