Mrs. Irene Boatner, 86, died Monday, February 15, 2016, at her home in Louisville, MS. Graveside services will be held at 11:00 A.M. on Thursday, February 18th, at Memorial Park Cemetery, with Rev. Rob Paul officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements. Mrs. Boatner was born December 26, 1929, in Crystal Springs, MS. She was a retired secretary for Union Planters Bank, and was a member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Ed Boatner.

She is survived several nieces and nephews and friends.

She is survived by three sons, Barry Shepperd ( Kim ) of Reidland, KY, Kenneth Shepperd ( Kathy ) of Smyrna, TN, and Douglas Shepperd of Smyrna, TN; ten grandchildren and 4 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
