Funeral services will be held Wednesday, August 19, at 12 p.m. in the Massey Funeral Home Chapel in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be the day of the service from 10 a.m. until service time at the funeral home. Interment will immediately follow the service in Parkway Cemetery in Kosciusko, Mississippi.
Nancy was a devoted wife, mother and sister. She was known as Maw-Maw to her grandchildren and great-grandchildren.
Born and raised in Zama, Mississippi, she was a graduate of Zama High School in 1961, where she was Salutatorian. She was married to her husband for 68 years to Fred Pilgrim, and they traveled the United States while he worked on the pipeline. She then worked for over 25 years at First Baptist daycare, known as Mrs. Nancy to her children. Nancy was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. She also enjoyed cooking and baking for her family.
Nancy is survived by her husband, Fred Pilgrim; daughter, Susan Pilgrim Webb (James Robert); her son, Casey Pilgrim (Candace); her grandchildren, Alyse Manning (Brent), Anna Claire Moore (Tanner), Paden Pilgrim, Audrey Pilgrim, Addy Higginbotham (Taylor), Carson Pilgrim, Camden Pilgrim; her great-grandchildren Jack Harper Manning, Estella Moore, and Ford Manning; and her brother Charles Bennett, in addition to numerous nieces, nephews, family, and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Grover and Zelma Bennett and her son Randy Pilgrim.
