Mr. Cheatham was a native and longtime resident of the Coy community in Kemper/Neshoba Counties. He worked at U.S. Motors as personnel manager for many years and was a farmer all of his life. Mr. Cheatham was a Mason and Shriner and a member of Coy United Methodist Church.

Survivors include his wife, Jean Avery Cheatham of Preston; children, Gary Cheatham (Joanne) of Louisville, Cheryl Cheatham Breckenridge of Preston, Tracy Smith (Brenda) of Pearl, Cheri Avery of Royce, TX and Darla Jean Miller (Coy) of Preston; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren, and daughter-in-law, Jackie Cheatham of Duffee.

Mr. Cheatham was preceded in death by his children, Deborah Cheatham Jarriel and Travis Lamar Cheatham, Jr.; parents, Percy and Alma Cheatham and brother, Clois Cheatham.

Joseph Harold Loper, Sr.

Joseph Harold Loper, of Ackerman, Mississippi died on July 27, 2015, at the Choctaw Regional Medical Center. Visitation will be held from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM on July 29, 2015 at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS, and from 10:00 AM to 11:00 AM at the Ackerman Baptist Church on July 30, 2015, immediately preceding the funeral services, which will start at 11:00 AM at Ackerman Baptist Church. Interment will follow in the Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS

Mr. Loper, 84, was born in Millry, Alabama on July 21, 1931. After graduating from high school, he joined the U.S. Navy and served at various locations during the Korean War. After his stint in the Navy, he began working for International Paper Company, and retired after working for them for 35 years.

Mr. Loper is survived by his wife of 35 years, Ouida Loper, and children Carolyn Lindley, Joseph H. (Joey) Loper, Jr., and Randy Loper, all of Ackerman, and five grandchildren.

Nona Theresa White Ware

Nona Theresa White Ware, 66, a client account/admissions manager for the Mississippi State University School of Veterinary Medicine, passed away Saturday July 18, 2015 at her home in Sturgis, MS. Mrs. Ware was born August 29, 1948 in Philadelphia, MS. She attended Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Louisville, MS.

Memorial Funeral Mass for Mrs. Ware will be held on Saturday July 25, 2015 at 11AM at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Louisville, MS. Visitation will be held one hour prior to the Funeral Mass on Saturday at Sacred Heart Catholic Church.

 Mrs. Ware is survived by her husband, Ronnie of Sturgis, MS, son, John Ware (Joyce) of Sturgis, MS, son, Dan Ware (Lynn) of Crystal Springs, MS, mother, Naomi Hardin of Ackerman, MS, and two brothers, Fred "Sonny" White (Jennifer) of Cleveland, MS, and Steve White (Linda) of Louisville, MS. She is also survived by four grandchildren and numerous nieces and nephews.
In lieu of flowers, the family request memorials be made to the Sacred Heart Catholic Church 410 Spring Street Louisville, MS 39339.

Randy Dale Miller

Mr. Randy Dale Miller, 58, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, at Oktibbeha County Hospital in Starkville, MS.

Randy was born May 19, 1957, in Louisville, MS. He was preceded in death by a son, Austin Miller; his mother, Helen Vondell Marlow; and his father, E. T. Miller.

He is survived by four brothers, Jimmy Marlow of Louisville, Steve Marlow of Jacksonville, FL, Tommy Marlow of Millport, AL, and Mike Sharp of Louisville; and an aunt, Joy Murphy of Craig Springs, MS.

A private memorial service will be held at a later date.

Mr. David Gage Woodruff, 89, died Wednesday, July 22, 2015, in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 5:00 P.M. on Friday, July 24th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Billy Earl Triplett

Mr. Billy Earl Triplett, 88, died Thursday, July 9, 2015, at his home in Louisville, MS.

Bill was born May 2, 1927, in Lowndes County, Mississippi. He was a retired technician with Bellsouth Telephone, and was a Navy veteran of World War II. He was preceded in death by his parents, Willie Rose and Raymond Wallace Triplett; his daughter, Mary Chiles Metts; his son, Joel Triplett; a sister, Louise Wilburn, and a brother, Buddy Triplett.

He is survived by two sisters, Nancy Robertson and Mary Ann Parks, both of Louisville; and his grandchildren, Tiffany Triplett Henkel, Traci Triplett Thoms, Chase Chiles, Chad Chiles, Chuck Chiles, B. J. Triplett, Ray Triplett, and Chad Turner.

A memorial service will be held at a later date. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.
