It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Larry Dale Williamson, a cherished resident of Louisville, Mississippi, who left us on Monday, November 25th, 2024, at the age of 77.
Larry was born on a spring Wednesday, May 7th, 1947, in the town of Louisville, Mississippi. He was a devoted father and a hardworking machinist, committed to his community and family throughout his life.
Larry is survived by his loving children: son Ronnie (Rhonda) Williamson of Philadelphia, MS, daughter Menissia (Vern) Cowart, and daughter Emily (Justin) Moffett; grandchildren, Madeline Cowart, Chad Cowart, Melissa Doyle, Katie Ross, Abby Butler, Billy Russell, Hannah Moffett and Parker Moffett; great grandchildren, Eloise Doyle, Jack Doyle and Beau Ross. He was a source of strength and love to his family, who will cherish his memory and legacy.
He was preceded in death by his beloved parents, Ambrose Theodis Williamson and Eddie Ruth Williamson, brother, James Williamson, sister, Virgie Barnes, who welcomed him into eternity with open arms.
Family and friends are invited to gather for a visitation at McClain-Hays Funeral Home in Philadelphia, MS on Sunday, December 1st, 2024, from 1:00 pm to 2:00 pm. It will be an opportunity to share stories and memories of a life well-lived.
Following the visitation, a funeral service celebrating Larry's life will be held at McClain-Hays Chapel, Philadelphia, MS, on the same day from 2:00 pm to 2:45 pm. We invite all who knew and loved Larry to attend and pay tribute to his lasting impact on those around him.
Larry Dale Williamson's memory will forever be held close by his family, friends, and all who had the pleasure of knowing him. May he rest in peace.
