Judy Sullivan Rogers, 79, passed away Sunday, April 2, 2023, at Winston
Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Funeral services
will be 10:00 a.m. Tuesday, April 4 at Murphy Creek Baptist Church with
Bro. Mark Mayo officiating. Visitation will be the day of the service from
9:00 a.m. until service time at the church. Interment will immediately follow
the service in Murphy Creek Cemetery.
Judy was born September 11, 1943, to J. C. and Rubye Palmer Sullivan in
Winston County, Mississippi. She was a member of Murphy Creek Baptist
Church where she taught a Sunday School class and was always willing to
help teach during Vacation Bible school each year. Judy enjoyed working in
her yard; she especially enjoyed her many flowers and watching the
hummingbirds that she loved to feed.
Judy is survived by her daughter, Tammy Rogers Mayo and husband,
Wayne; and her son, Keith “Mo” Rogers and wife, Marsha, all of Louisville.
One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her five grandchildren:
Sydney (Daniel) Boswell, Laken Fulcher, McKenzie Rogers, Logan (Tripp)
Brown, and Justin Fulcher; and her three great-grandchildren: Sadie
Brown, Ayden Boswell, and Holland Boswell. Judy is also survived by her
siblings: Jakie Sullivan and Bonnie Burks; as well as her loving nieces,
nephews, other family members, and friends.
She is preceded in death by
her husband, Roy A. Rogers; her parents; two sisters, Mary Lou Conn and
Donnie Sue Dempsey; and her brother, Johnny Sullivan.
