James Frank Snow

James Frank Snow, 82, passed away on Saturday, June 13, 2020, at Sanctuary Hospice House in Tupelo, Mississippi. Graveside services and interment will be 11 a.m. Monday, June 15 at Mt. Carmel Cemetery in Noxapater, Mississippi, with Rev. Mike Fondren officiating.  


James Frank was born November 20, 1937, to Herbert and Otis Lee Johnson Snow. He was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church. He enjoyed watching Mississippi State University football and attending football games at Noxapater Attendance Center prior to his declining health. James Frank enjoyed raising cattle and his farm, planning projects for others to complete, and he loved to eat…especially sweets! His greatest love was for his family who described him as a “kind, gentle, hardworking man who loved his family, his home, his community, his friends, his church, and his God.”  


James Frank is survived by his wife of 46 years Jane Rogers Snow; and two daughters Margaret Rosamond Sanborn both of Noxapater, and Patricia Rosamond Collins and husband Laverne of Saltillo, Mississippi. One of his greatest joys in life was being “Papaw Frank” to his four grandchildren: Amy Collins (Lane) Ferguson of Saltillo, Judd (Jennifer) Sanborn of Noxapater, Carla Collins (Lance) Elkins of Clarksville, Tennessee, and Lacey Sanborn (Daniel) Dunlap of Hernando, Mississippi; and to his eight great-grandchildren: Coleman Dunlap, Will Elkins, Parker Elkins, Logan Sanborn, Kaitlyn Sanborn, Collin Ferguson, Allyssa Ferguson, and Josh Ferguson. He is also survived by two nieces: Sonya Snow (Buddy) Good and Melissa Snow, and nephew Jeff (Kim) Snow; great-nieces Olivia Snow and Hannah Good; and great-nephew Jake Snow. James Frank was preceded in death by his parents, his brother Leroy Snow, his sister-in-law Dorothy Snow, and his son-in-law Keith Sanborn.
