Jimmie Irene Rogers

Mrs. Jimmie Irene Woodruff Rogers, 85, passed away Wednesday, December 12, 2018, at the Beehive Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held at 1:00 P. M. on Saturday, December 15th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Newlie Long officiating. Interment will be in Ellison Ridge Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 11:00 A.M. until the service time. Porter Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mrs. Rogers was born May 12, 1933, in Winston County, MS. She was a graduate of Ellison Ridge High School, and worked as an office manager for Dowdle Gas. Jimmie Irene was a faithful member of First Baptist Church. She was preceded in death by her husband, Benny Roy Rogers; and her parents, Vida Eaves Woodruff and Rudolph Woodruff.

She is survived by her daughter, Gina (Darrell) Duty; her son, Gregg Rogers, both of Louisville; one brother, Rudye (Dorothy) Woodruff of Marietta, GA; 5 grandchildren, Courtney Duty Hunt, Cole Duty, Lauren Rogers, Brandon Rogers, and Nick Duty; and 2 great grandchildren, Liam Hunt and Ella Duty.
