Ms. Fulcher was born December 17, 1921, to Herbert Clay, Sr. and Marguerite Shepherd Clay. “Miss” Ruth, a devout Christian woman, was a lifelong member of Murphy Creek Baptist Church. She loved her church family very much; she was very involved in any activity going on at church; and was a faithful member of the WMU. Each week, she mailed the church bulletin to the “elderly” unable to attend church services. She loved to cook and was known far and wide for her coconut cake and rolls. She dearly loved her family and thoroughly enjoyed time spent with them.

Ms. Fulcher is survived by her daughter, Jackie Foreman and husband, Don; and her son, Freddy Fulcher and wife, Patsy, all of Louisville. One of her greatest joys was being “RuRu, Miss Ruth, or Granny” to her five grandchildren: Julie Fancher and husband, Slade; Jeff Whitehead and wife, Kim; Kevin Foreman and wife, LeeAnn; Emily Fulcher; and Jennifer Fulcher. She is also survived by three step-grandchildren: Tracy Stevenson and husband, Hugh; Marty McPherson; and Brandy Randle and husband, Richard. She also leaves behind to mourn her passing 10 great-grandchildren and seven step-great-grandchildren; as well as a host of nieces, nephews, and friends. She was preceded in death by her husband, Jack Fulcher; daughter Linda Fulcher Whitehead; daughter-in-law Judy Fulcher; her parents; two sisters and four brothers; grandson Scott Fulcher; and great-grandson Maddox Miles.
