Mrs. Jimmie Hazel Shurden, 99, passed away on Sunday, April 8, 2012, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Graveside services will be held at 3:00 p.m. on Monday, April 9, 2012, at Memorial Park Cemetery in Louisville, Mississippi, with Henry Shurden officiating. Nowell-Massey Funeral Home of Louisville is in charge of local arrangements.
Mrs. Shurden was born December 26, 1912. She was a homemaker and a member of Jesus Name Church .
Mrs. Shurden is survived by her son, Henry Shurden and wife, Jeanette, of Noxapater, Mississippi. She is also survived by seven grandchildren: Mitchell Brian Shurden, Timothy Shurden, Leigh Ann Shurden Gregory, Nathan Scott Shurden, Larry Taylor Shurden, Jeffery Shurden, and Julie Delaine Shurden, as well as 10 great-grandchildren. Mrs. Shurden was preceded in death by her parents, Henry D. and Florence Cummings Shurden.
Pallbearers will be Mitchell Shurden, Glen Shurden, Glenn Gregory, Taylor Shurden, and Jeffery Shurden. Memorials may be given to the American Red Cross.
