Mrs. Faye McWhirter Green, 83, died Thursday, September 22, 2011, at her home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held on Saturday, September 24th, at 2:00 P.M., at First Baptist Church, with Dr. Brett Golson and Rev. Marvin Knowles officiating. Mrs. Green was born November 24, 1927. She was a charger member of three Southern Baptist churches in southeast Louisiana and a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville, MS. She was preceded in death by her parents, Bertha Mills and Robert Jeff McWhirter; a sister, Annie Doris McWhirter, and a brother, Norwood McWhirter. She is survived by her husband, Glen Green; a son, Mike (Vicky) Green; a daughter, Jill Green Stapp; 3 grandchildren, Christy (Michael) Perritt, Shawn (Jenny) Green, and Whitney Lea Stapp; and two great grandchildren, Justin Perritt and Wyatt Perritt.
