Mr. Clarence M. Nichols, 85, died Wednesday, August 10, 2011, at the V. A. Medical Center in Jackson, MS. Funeral services will be held at 2:00 P.M. Saturday, August 13th, at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Ricky McKay officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Visitation will be Saturday from 10:00 AM until service time at the funeral home.
Mr. Nichols was born July 24, 1926, in Winston County, MS. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and was a retired brick mason. He was a member of Calvary Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife, Elizabeth Blaine Nichols of Louisville; two daughters, Linda (Steve) White of Rolling Fork, MS, and Tonya (Keith) White of Louisville; a son, Eddie (Allyson) Nichols of Louisville; 8 grandchildren and 12 great grandchildren.
Pallbearers will be James Nichols, Josh Nichols, Craig Nichols, Kiley White, Bobby Yates, and Lonnie Wright.
