Mrs. Betty Jane Ward, 80, passed away on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, at Louisville Health Care in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, on Tuesday, June 21, 2011, from 5:00 p.m. until 8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be at 10:30 a.m. on Wednesday, June 22, 2011, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, with Rev. Billy Bowie officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery. Born on March 8, 1931, to Arie and Jessie Peaster, Mrs. Ward was co-owner of Ward Feed Store. She was a member of First Baptist Church and a member of the Gideon Auxiliary.
Mrs. Ward is survived by her husband, Udell Ward of Louisville, Mississippi; two sons, Joe Ward and wife, Annette, also of Louisville, Mississippi, and Clay Ward and wife, Amy, of Tullahoma, Tennessee; one daughter, Carol Triggs and husband, David, of Huntsville, Alabama; one sister, Fannie Smith of Louisville, Mississippi; two grandchildren, Jesse Ward and Marianne Ward; and five great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arie and Jessie Peaster. Pallbearers will be Doug Hill, Cliff Hudson, Kevin Hudson, Danny Ward, Mike Smith, and Leslie Charlton.
