Frances Jarvis Fulton

Services were held for Frances Fulton on Thursday, March 11, 2010, at 3 p.m. from Porter Funeral Home.
The Rev. Junior Davis and Allen Simpson officiated. Interment followed in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation was held from 1 to 3 p.m. Thursday, March 11, at Porter Funeral Home.
Mrs. Jarvis, 88, died Wednesday, March 10, 2010, at Gilmore Memorial Regional Medical Center in Amory.
Mrs. Jarvis was born Sept. 7, 1921, in Neshoba County. She was a 1942 graduate of the University of Southern Mississippi with a degree in education. She was a former school teacher, having taught in Longino, Linwood, Nanih Waiya, Calhoun, and Linville. She taught until 1957, when she began working with her husband at Jarvis Oil Company from 1957 until 1993. She was a member of First Baptist Church of Louisville, and the D.A.R.
She was preceded in death by her husband, George Jarvis; her parents, Virgie Stokes and Green Harvey Fulton; and her brothers, G. W. Fulton, Grady Fulton, and Glenn Fulton.
She is survived by her daughter, Susan Chaney, and her husband, Pat, of Amory; three sisters, Wauldine Grace Houston of Madison, Bobbie Cannon of Philadelphia and Shirley Fulton of Jackson; a brother, Forrest Fulton of Philadelphia; and three grandchildren, Patrick, Edward, and Walton Chaney.
