Randolph “Buddy” Ellingburg

Services for Randolph “Buddy” Ellingburg will be held Friday, February 8, 2019, at 2 p.m. from McClain-Hays Chapel with Dr. Wayne Hill officiating. Burial will follow in the Linwood Cemetery in Neshoba County. Visitation will begin Friday from 10 a.m. until time of service. McClain-Hays Funeral Home is in charge of arrangements.

Mr. Ellingburg, 80, of Philadelphia, died Tuesday, February 5, 2019, at Rush Foundation Hospital in Meridian.

A native and lifelong resident of Neshoba County, he grew up in the Linwood Community and attended Linwood School. He was the owner/operator of Ellingburg Body Shop until his retirement in 2015.

Buddy’s vehicles were his joy; whether he was selling them, restoring his vehicles, or just simply sharing stories about them.

Survivors include wife, Barbara Ellingburg Thaggard of Philadelphia; daughters, Pamela Ann Spears of Philadelphia, Linda Stovall (Toby) of Philadelphia, Lisa Posey (Bob) of Philadelphia; sons, Randy Ellingburg (Nancy) of Little Rock, Jason Ellingburg of Louisville; grandchildren, Danyelle Murphy (Brian), Matthew Stokes (Jessica), Ben Stovall (Crystal), Megan Rigsby (Bryan), Samantha Ellingburg, Cody Ellingburg, Daniel Ellingburg, Abby Posey, Natalie Posey, Trey Posey, Blake Ellingburg, Cole Ellingburg and Barrett Ellingburg; great-grandchildren, BayLeigh Watkins, A. J. Watkins, Tyler Bray, Ethan Walker, Taylor Walker, Kody Stokes, Colton Stokes, Aubree’ Stokes, Gracie Rigsby, RaeLeigh Stovall, Hayden Stovall, Harper Stovall, Andee Rose Ellingburg; sisters, Cassie Peeples of Philadelphia, Leora Ellingburg of Gulfport; brothers, Grady Ellingburg of Philadelphia and Basil Ellingburg of Georgia; and a host of nieces and nephews.

Mr. Ellingburg was preceded in death by parents, Lawrence and Mary Alice Ellingburg; grandmother, “Ma Maw” Bethany; and several sisters and brothers.
