Dallie Lucille Graham Kirkpatrick

Dallie Lucille Graham Kirkpatrick, having lived most of her 90 years in Noxapater, Mississippi, went home Feb. 13, 2019.

She was a graduate of Ethel High School, Blue Mountain College and the University of Alabama. A beloved educator, she instilled the love of learning in her third graders at Noxapater School for decades. She was a Noxapater Baptist Church Prayer Warrior, active in ministries. She expressed and encouraged creativity in the written word, visual arts, diverse crafts and gardening. She meticulously chronicled life, traveled extensively, collected everything, wasted nothing and cared deeply.

Survivors include her daughter, Lillian (Joe) Mirando of Ponchatoula, Louisiana; three grandchildren, Lucy V Mirando of Tuseyan, Arizona, Lisa (Jantsen) and Aaron Kirkpatrick of Georgia; special “great-grand” Ava Lankford; brother, Doug Graham of Eupora; brothers-in-law, Bob McCrory and Arthur Sartain of Ethel, and Ken Jardine of Salt Lake City; sister-in-law, Ann Fulton of Brandon; nephews, nieces, cousins and countless cherished friends.

Among those joyfully welcoming her home were her husband, Ira Lee Kirkpatrick Jr.; son, Ira III; sisters, Martha, Johnnie, Sue, Geneva; brother, Jack; and parents, John and Floy Biggers Graham.

Visitation will be Saturday at Noxapater Baptist Church from 9 a.m. until the funeral at 11, followed by burial at Mt. Carmel Cemetery, Noxapater. Arrangements are with Nowell-Massey Funeral Home, Louisville.

For the tender care she received in her final years, special thanks go to the Heritage Health Care staff, especially nurses Shawonia Milton, Goldie Parsons and Kim Cao; the sweet CNAs; attentive Compassous Hospice workers; and Tyler and Anna Chapman, who shared God’s love.

Donations to Palmer Home for Children, Columbus, Miss.; or Blue Mountain College, Ripley, Miss.

Serving as pallbearers are Roy McCrory, John McCrory, John Graham, Harold Graham, Billy Gene McNeil, Ben Kirk, Mitch McAdory and Mike McAdory.
