Lou was born April 18, 1938, to Irvin Suttle and Edna Banes Suttle. She was a member of Noxapater Baptist Church, and she was a homemaker. She loved to crochet and used her talents to make many beautiful afghans, bedspreads, and blankets to share with others. She was an excellent cook and being adventurous, she loved to travel.

Lou is survived by her loving husband of 59 years, James Arnold of Noxapater; and by three daughters, Ann Arnold of Murfreesboro, Tennessee; Debra Arnold and Marie Permenter and husband Walt, all of Philadelphia, Mississippi; and by her “fourth daughter” as Lou called her Angel Huddleston of Philadelphia. She is also survived by her brother, Grady Suttle, of Noxapater. One of her greatest joys was being “MaMa Lou” to her two granddaughters, Madison Alford Sharp (Justin) and Morgan Alford. Mrs. Arnold was preceded in death by her parents; and her brother, Rae Suttle; and sister-in-law, Jeanette Suttle.

Serving as pallbearers will be Walt Permenter, Rusty Suttle, Justin Sharp, Charlie Wilkes, Russell Hamilton, and Hal Estes. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O. Box 1000 Department 142, Memphis, TN 38148-0142.
