Lacey was born September 5, 1961, to Fred and Sara Adcock Kemp. He was an avid outdoorsman and farmer; he especially loved to deer hunt and fish. In addition, he also had many friends with whom he enjoyed spending time; and he thoroughly enjoyed his career as a heavy equipment operator.
Lacey is survived by two daughters, Dana Eaton and husband, Ashley, of Caledonia, Mississippi; and Krystal Ross and husband, Trent, of Macon, Mississippi; and his son, Jared Kemp of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “PopPop” to his five grandchildren: Bryce Eaton, Brent Eaton, Adyson Ross, Riley Ross, and Harper Ross. Also left to mourn his passing is his sister, Janet Heard and husband, Lloyd, also of Louisville; as well as his nieces, nephews, aunts, uncles, and friends. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sister, Kathy Moody; and his brother, Kevin Kemp.
Serving as pallbearers will be Brandon Heard, Lloyd Heard, Danny Hill, Dillon Peterson, Mike Pruitt, Justin Richardson, and Ronnie VanDevender. Honorary pallbearers will be Robert Goodin, Danny Hatcher, Henry Moody Moore, and Mark Stevenson. Memorials may be given to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, Tribute Program, P. O.
