Ms. Mildred Jones Windham

Ms. Mildred Jones Windham, 83, passed away surrounded by her loving family on Wednesday, July 5, 2017, at her residence in the Plattsburg Community. Graveside services and interment will be Sunday, July 9, 2017, at 2:30 p.m. at Indian Springs Cemetery with Rev. Lawrence Poole officiating. Visitation will be Sunday, July 9, 2017, at Nowell Massey Funeral Home from 1:00 p.m. until 2 p.m.

Mildred was born March 19, 1934, in Winston County, Mississippi, to Willie Lee and Flora Quinn Jones. She was a member of Indian Springs Assembly of God Church; she loved working in her vegetable gardens and fishing.

Mildred is survived by a daughter, Tammy Windham; and a son, Willie Windham and wife, Lisa, all of Noxapater. One of her greatest joys was being “Granny” to her four grandchildren: Buddy Windham and wife, Daisha; Kari Windham; Mildred Perez; and Bobbie Lee Windham; as well as to her nine great-grandchildren. Mildred was preceded in death by her husband, Bobby Lee Windham; her son, David Windham; her parents; two brothers, Jesse Lee Jones and Boe Jones; and three sisters, Mary Ann Howard; Irene Howard; and Rosie Hatley.
