Danny Joe Gaskin

Danny Joe Gaskin, 29, a heavy equipment mechanic for Site Masters Construction, Inc, passed away Saturday, July 22, 2017 at his home in Ackerman, MS.  Mr. Gaskin was born January 18, 1988 in Choctaw County, MS.

Funeral Services for will held on Friday, July 28, 2017 at 1 PM at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Interment will follow in Enon Cemetery in Ackerman, MS. Visitation will be held Friday, July 28, 2017 beginning at 10AM until the service time at Coleman Funeral Home in Ackerman, MS. Coleman Funeral Home of Ackerman, MS is in charge of all arrangements.

Danny Joe was a very Christian man who would go out of his way to help anyone with a problem. He always reached for his Bible for guidance and answers. He enjoyed being outdoors whether he was hunting, fishing, spending time with his family or working. His favorite hobby was working on old trucks. No matter what he had planned, he would stop what he was doing if Aaron, his brother, Ray, Chandler, or Payton needed him. He enjoyed riding his motorcycle with his wife, Mary. He loved to cook or try any type of recipe. He always had a grill ready to fire up, whether at work or at home.

Danny Joe's true passion was spending time with his wife, Mary, and his dog, Zena. They went fishing, hunting, or riding their bikes. While fishing, he would always try out new lures or jigs he had either bought or made. Danny Joe was always on the hunt for that trophy bass. He enjoyed life to the fullest.
Mr. Gaskin is survived by his wife, Mary Elizabeth Gaskin and their dog, Zena, his father, Billie Joe Gaskin, his mother, Janet Gail Gaskin, a brother, Aaron Patrick Gaskin, grandfather, Robert Lee (Pop) Gaskin, and grandmother, Willa Dean Gammill. He is also survived by many aunts, uncles, and cousins.

Danny Joe was preceded in death by his grandfather, Doyle Gammill, grandmother, Polly Gaskin, and three uncles, Junior Gaskin, Eddie Gaskin, and Mike Collums.

Pallbearers for the service will be Patrick Ousborn, Rodney Johnson, Dillon Mosley, Bill McKogle, Bryson Gunn, and Bubba Biggers. Honorary Pallbearers will be, Edward Blunt, David Perkins, Mark Brown, Ray Collums, Chandler Collums, Payton Collums, Gus Mosely and the EMS crew for Medstat EMS of Ackerman, MS.
