Marcus was the owner and operator of Standrod Engineering in Jupiter, FL, and a graduate of Mississippi State University. He was preceded in death by his mother, Martha Standrod; and his brothers, Byron F. Barnes and John S. Standrod II.
He is survived by his wife, Louanne of Jupiter, FL; and his father, John (Billie) Standrod of Noxapater, MS.
