Mrs. Ella Louise Forster, 99, died Wednesday, December 19, 2012, at Winston County Nursing Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be held Saturday, December 22nd at 1:00 P.M. at Porter Funeral Home, with Rev. Tom Clark officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Mrs. Forster was born March 20, 1913, in Baltimore, MD. She was an office manager for Union-Pacific and GM&O Railroad, and a member of St. Johns Lutheran Church. She was preceded in death by her parents, Margaretha Dorothea Timm and Oskar Michael Wilhelm Forster.
She is survived by her nieces and nephews, James W. Rowsey, William Hull Forster, Michael Hull Forster, Susan Hull Forster, Juliana Forster Dowell, Kurt Michael Forster, and Karen Lynn Forster Chapman.

William F. "Bill" Appleby
Dr. William F. "Bill" Appleby passed away peacefully, November 6, 2012, in Lake Junaluska, NC. He was born June 20, 1928 in Drew, Ms. and was a graduate of Eupora High School, Millsaps College (BA '50 & Honorary Doctorate of Divinity '87), Emory University Candler School of Theology (Masters of Divinity '52) and the Methodist Theology school in Ohio (Doctorate of Ministry '78).
A United Methodist minister, Brother Bill faithfully served and loved many small and large churches in North Mississippi for 42 years. He held special affinity for small membership churches and was a co-founder of the first "Cooperative Ministry" in the North Mississippi conference involving 26 congregations on 3 pastoral charges in Thishomingo County. He served as District Superintendent of the Tupelo District and a Conference Council Director of both the North Mississippi and Mississippi Conferences. Additionally, he served on many conference boards and commissions as well as institutions affiliated with the United Methodist Church. He was honored to have served as a delegate representing his conference at the Southeastern Jurisdictional and the General Conferences of the United Methodist Church.
Bill was proud to serve the church and its people and to have mentored and counseled others, particularly young clergy. He cherished his deep and meaningful friendships with others.
He was preceded in death by his first wife, Betty Smith Appleby, and leaves a loving wife, Minna Hayes Appleby, and his children, Frank and Libby (Marty Stamper), and their children Will and Lizzy Appleby and Layne & Taylor Smith as well as his step children, Greg Gilbert (Suzy) and Kyle Gilbert (Julia) and their children.
A memorial service will be held at 10:00AM Saturday, January 5th., at the Frist United Methodist Church in Clarksdale, Ms. The family will receive friends at the church beginning at 9:00AM prior to the service. Interment will be private at LaGrange UMC in Choctaw County.

Mrs. Pearl Clark Hodge, 82, passed away on December 17, 2012, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 19, 2012, from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be held at 11 a.m. in the Nowell-Massey Funeral Home Chapel on Thursday, December 20, 2012, with Rev. Rob Faulk and Rev. Trent Jaudon officiating. Interment will follow in Memorial Park Cemetery.

Mr. Goodin was born April 6, 1926, in Winston County. He was a retired as a millwright from Georgia Pacific. He was an Army veteran of World War II, and a member of Harmony Baptist Church.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Rowena Luke Goodin of Louisville; a son, Ronnie (Kathleen) Goodin of Orlando, FL; two grandchildren, Abigail and Kate Goodin; and two brothers, Bob Goodin and Jack Goodin, both of Louisville.

Mr. Rogers was born August 3, 1932, in Winston County, Mississippi. He was an Army Veteran of The Korean War, and retired from the Army as a Major. He was a member of Bethel Baptist Church. He was also a teacher for 32 years in the Louisville School District, where he taught Biology, Driver Training, and was also a Guidance Counselor. He was preceded in death by his parents, Mildred Whitehead and John Walter Rogers; his son, John Thomas Rogers; a great grandson, Brandon Thomas McKinley; and four brothers, Bobby Rogers, Benny Roy Rogers, Bernice Rogers, and Buster Rogers.
Mr. Rogers is survived by his wife of 61 years, Minnie Clara Eaves Rogers; three daughters, Kathy (Joe) Hodge, Sharon (Tommy) McKinley, and Donna Sinclair, all of Louisville, MS; 12 grandchildren, and 13 great grandchildren.

Sharon Wood Moon, 62, died Tuesday, December 3, at Gilmore Memorial Medical Center. She was born in Conroe, TX on June 26, 1950 to Harris G. and Barbara Hayes Wood. Mrs. Moon grew up in and attended school in Louisville, MS.
She was a Member of Meadowood Baptist Church, where she was active in the Ladies Community Bible Study. Living the Christian life to the best of her ability, she studied the Bible extensively, and always sought to help others. Mrs. Moon was very active in community outreach programs. She loved her family very much. She enjoyed cooking the Cajun way, reading, watching T.V., traveling, especially to Rome and Israel, and keeping up with family and friends on Facebook.
She is survived by her parents, husband, John Moon (Amory); son, Paul W. “Rusty” Singleton (Stacey) of Tennessee Colony, TX; step sons, Gavin J. Moon (Rebecca) of Covington, GA and Darrell Moon (Ronda) of Corinth; brothers, Danny Metzinger of AZ, Sam Wood of Jackson, Ms and Patrik Wood of Memphis; grandchildren, Michael White, Christopher Singleton, Julie Fogarty (John), Theresa Moon, J.P. Moon, and Caitlin Moon (Scott); great great grandchildren, McKason Singleton, Lilli Caite Burcham and Andrew Strickland; and a host of friends.

Mr. Odie Wayne Prisock, 72, passed away on December 3, 2012, at his home in Madison, Mississippi, surrounded by his loving family. Visitation will be Wednesday, December 5, 2012, from 4 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Natchez Trace Funeral Home in Madison, Mississippi. Visitation will also be at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi, from 12 p.m. until service time with funeral services being held at 1:30 p.m. on Thursday, December 6, 2012, with Rev. Junior Davis and Dr. Eugene Dobbs officiating. Interment will be in Craig Springs Cemetery in Oktibbeha County.
Mr. Prisock was born on August 25, 1940, to Erskin and Velma Scarborough Prisock. He graduated from Starkville High School and was a member of the Mississippi National Guard for six years. Wayne was a home builder and land developer while living in Starkville and a member of the Home Builders Association in Starkville, serving as the first president of this organization. After moving to Madison, he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Madison and he was the owner of Prisock Company. Mr. Prisockwas a member of the Canton Lodge #28 F & AM Masonic Lodge and a Past Worthy Patron of Canton Chapter #58 OES. Wayne was a man of many talents and he loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Dane Ellis Prisock of Madison, Mississippi; his daughter, Stephanie Nix and husband, Rick, of Ridgeland, Mississippi; and his son, StephenPrisock and wife, Keiley, of Madison, Mississippi. Mr. Prisock was born on August 25, 1940, to Erskin and Velma Scarborough Prisock. He graduated from Starkville High School and was a member of the Mississippi National Guard for six years. Wayne was a home builder and land developer while living in Starkville and a member of the Home Builders Association in Starkville, serving as the first president of this organization. After moving to Madison, he became a member of the First Baptist Church of Madison and he was the owner of Prisock Company. Mr. Prisockwas a member of the Canton Lodge #28 F & AM Masonic Lodge and a Past Worthy Patron of Canton Chapter #58 OES. Wayne was a man of many talents and he loved to hunt and fish.
He is survived by his wife, Ellen Dane Ellis Prisock of Madison, Mississippi; his daughter, Stephanie Nix and husband, Rick, of Ridgeland, Mississippi; and his son, StephenPrisock and wife, Keiley, of Madison, Mississippi. Willa Jean Prisock
Willa Jean Richardson Prisock, daughter of Ronald Earl and Laura Mae Richardson, was born on June 19, 1931. “Jean,” as she was called, passed away on December 1, 2012, in the Medical Center of Plano in Plano, Texas. Visitation will be from 5 p.m. until 8 p.m. on Tuesday, December 4, 2012, at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville, Mississippi. There will also be visitation from 1 p.m. until service time on Wednesday, December 5, 2012, at Beth Eden Lutheran Church. Funeral services will be held at 2 p.m. at Beth Eden Church with Rev. Junior Davis officiating. Interment will follow in Beth EdenChurch Cemetery.
Mrs. Prisock was a homemaker. She was a member of St. John’s Lutheran Church, of the Eastern Star, and the Veterans of Foreign Wars Ladies Auxiliary. Jean was raised in Beth Eden and Louisville where she was actively involved in activities at St. John’s Lutheran Church. She attended Blue Mountain College and traveled extensively with her husband, Frank, who served in the United States Navy.

She is survived by three sons and one daughter: John Ronald Prisock (Patsy) of Sturgis, Mississippi; Richard Dell Prisock (Debbie) of St. Eustatia, Netherlands, Caribbean Islands; Lori Jean Prisock Shaw of Plano, Texas; and Robert Darryl Prisock of Bakersville, California. Jean is also survived by six granddaughters, four grandsons, four nephews and one great-grandchild. Mrs. Prisock was preceded in death by her husband, Franklin Dell Prisock; her parents; and two brothers: Howard Earl Richardson, who was killed while serving in World War II, and Robert “Bobby” Joseph Richardson of Birmingham, Alabama.
Pallbearers will be Robert Alan Richardson, Chris Richardson, Andy Richardson, Dylan Prisock, Jonathan Ratliff, and Brad Scarborough.

Bennie Wilson Goodin
Mr. Bennie Wilson Goodin, 75, of Emmett Township died very unexpectedly, Thursday November 29, 2012 at home. He was born November 20, 1937 in Winston, MS the son of the late Wilson and Lizzie Butler Goodin. His marriage to the love of his life, Mary Ella Clark, was November 21, 1955. Bennie had owned and operated Travis Hamburgers of 14 1/2 & Gratiot. He was also known as “Toolman” and “Fatman Tools”. Surviving in addition to his wife, Mary, of 57 years are a daughter and son-in-law, Kathy and Joe McAdory, son, Bennie Jr. and fiancé Dawn; grandsons, Nathan (Nicky) Smith and Jeremy Goodin, Buffy McAdory, Jody McAdory, Lynn Betz, Delinda Tubby, Katelyn Hirchberger and Jesika Ovstedal, great-grandchildren, Clayton Goodin, Dominic, Kaleb, Lexi, Sky, Draegan, Bronson and Alivia, great-great-grandson, Boston; his buddy, CoCo; four sisters and two brothers and several nieces, nephews and friends that called him dad. He was preceded in death by his grandson Jason McAdory and his brothers Gene and Bruce Goodin. The family honors the memory of Bennie and invite you to visit and share memories Sunday 2:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Kaatz Funeral Directors, Richmond,Michigan, and Wednesday from 5:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Porter Funeral Home in Louisville, MS. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. Thursday, 12/6, at Porter Funeral Home. Rev. Gerald Butler will officiate. Burial will be in Butler Cemetery, Noxubee County, Mississippi.
