Ralph Randal Jackson of Sturgis, MS, passed away on Saturday, August 12 at Baptist Memorial Golden Triangle Hospital in Columbus, MS. Ralph was born on July 4, 1946, in Oktibbeha County, Mississippi, to M.T. and Martha Maudine (Vickers) Jackson. He was 77 years old.
Ralph graduated from college with a Master’s Degree. He taught school for a period of time, and later began farming. He eventually began working for the Mississippi Highway Department where he remained for several years.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Monday, August 14, 2023, at Sturgis Baptist Church in Sturgis, MS.
A visitation will be held Monday, beginning at 10:00 a.m.till service time at 11:00 at the church.
Ralph is survived by 2 sons, Tony (Tina) Jackson of Starkville, MS, and Daniel Jackson of Sturgis, MS; 1 sister, Vicki Lowery of Starkville, MS; and 3 grandchildren, Maril Jackson, Ellis Ann Jackson, and Gianni Marckx.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Diane Jackson; his parents; and 2 brothers, Don Jackson and Terry Jackson.
