Terrell Hamill

Terrell Hamill, 87, passed away surrounded by his loving family on Saturday, August 20, 2016, at the Mississippi State Veterans Home in Kosciusko, Mississippi. Visitation will be Monday, August 22, 2016, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. Funeral services will be held at 3 p.m. on Tuesday, August 23, 2016, in the Nowell Massey Funeral Home Chapel. Interment will follow in Bevill Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery with military honors.

Terrell was born November 20, 1928, to Clyde and Ila Smith Hamill. He retired from the U. S. Fish and Wildlife Services where he worked as an equipment operator. Terrell answered the call of his country by serving in the United States Army during World War II and the Korean War.

Terrell is survived by his daughter, Denise Hamill Billinger of Quinter, Kansas; and his grandson, Brandon Knipp. Also left to mourn his passing is numerous nieces, nephews, and friends. He was preceded in death by his wife, Dorothy “Dot” Hamill; his parents; and two brothers Clyde Hamill, Jr. and George Wesley Hamill.

Serving as pallbearers are Brad Bradford, Derrick Goldben, Austin Prisock, Blake Prisock, T. J. Prisock, and Danny Paul Smith. Memorial contributions in honor of Mr. Hamill may be given to Bevill Hill United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund, c/o Jeanette Mills, 1747 Beth Eden Road, Louisville, MS 39339.
