Travis was born March 19, 1940, to Elbert and Etta Miles Robertson in Winston County. He was a member of Ellison Ridge Baptist Church. On March 6, 1966, Travis married the love of his life, Elizabeth Ann, and they enjoyed 56 years together. He worked at numerous sawmills and off-shore. After his retirement, he started driving a school bus until he was 78 years old. One of Travis’s hobbies was making sure his yard was immaculate all the time and gardening.
Travis is survived by two daughters: Cynthia (Scottie) Johns and Desha (Tommy) Trosper all of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Papaw” to his three grandchildren: Cole Starnes, Eric (Nicky) Trosper, and Nathan (Mitzi) Trosper; as well as his seven great-grandchildren: Lizzy Starnes, Harper Starnes, Lilly Trosper, Ethan Trosper, Madelyn Trosper, Alyssa Trosper, and Cade Trosper. He is also survived by three sisters: Lola Espenschied, Maxine Butler, and Joyce (Dave) Fettrow; and his brother, Roland Robertson; as well as many loving nieces, nephews, other family members, and a host of friends.
