Deborah Maureen McEachern Mills of Ackerman, MS, passed away on Wednesday, May 1, 2024, at her residence. Deborah was born on November 24, 1952, in Atlanta, GA to Kenneth Franklin and Maurine (Ellingburg) McEachern. She was 71 years old. She grew up in Vaiden, MS, and spent most of her life in Jackson and Brandon, MS. Deborah was a Retired Financial Consultant for Nursing Home Facilities.
She attended Holmes Community College where she was crowned Most Beautiful in 1971. Deborah lived a full life and always had a smile on her face; she was a social butterfly. She loved spending time with her daughter, grandchildren, and friends. Her greatest joys were playing card games, watching football, shopping, cooking, reading and most of all, spoiling her cocker spaniel, Rascal.
A Celebration of Life will be held for Deborah at Shongalo Presbyterian Church in Vaiden, MS on Thursday, May 9, 2024, at 2:00 PM.
Deborah is survived by her daughter, Leigh Knighton (Lee) Ellington of Ackerman, MS; two brothers, Robert (Linda) McEachern of Tupelo, MS and Kenneth Wayne (Linda) McEachern of Vaiden, MS; two grandchildren, Mauri Wilson and Miller Wilson, and one step-granddaughter, Devan Ellington. She also leaves behind three nieces, Lisa Garrett Norman, Leslie McEachern Pearman, Jennifer McEachern Roberts, and one nephew, Gerald Garrett.
She was preceded in death by her parents, Kenneth Franklin and Maurine (Ellingburg) McEachern, a sister, Barbara (McEachern) Garrett, and a brother, Martin McEachern.
