J. P. Fulton

Mr. J. P. Fulton, 87, passed away on Thursday, June 28, 2018, at Winston Medical Center Nursing Home in Louisville, Mississippi. Visitation will be Saturday, June 29, 2018, from 5 p.m. until 7 p.m. at Nowell-Massey Funeral Home in Louisville. Funeral services will be at 2:00 p.m. Sunday, July 1, 2018, at Middleton United Methodist Church with Rev. Antoine Stokes and Rev. Doug Herring. Visitation will also be the day of the service at the church from 1 p.m. until service time. Interment will follow in Middleton United Methodist Church Cemetery.

J. P. was born June 11, 1931, in Winston County, Mississippi, to Phillip Earnest and Eula Palmer Fulton. He was a member of Middleton United Methodist Church. He answered the call to his country by serving in the United States Army and fought in the Korean War and enjoyed farming.

Mr. J. P. is survived by his wife of 61 years, Virginia Dempsey Fulton; his sons, Randy Fulton and wife, Tammy of Macon, Mississippi, Ronnie Fulton and Rodney Fulton both of Louisville. One of his greatest joys was being “Paw” to his six grandchildren: Phillip Fulton, Lauren Fulton, Krystal Fulton Hoskins, Avriel Fulton, Coli Kirk, and Mackenzie Shumaker; and his 10 great-grandchildren. He also leaves behind his sisters, Virginia Wylie Fisher of Houston, Missouri and Sarah Grace Bankston of Mendenhall, Mississippi. He was preceded in death by his parents; his sons, Ricky and Roger Fulton, and his sisters, Edna Earl Bounds and Marie Parrot.

Serving as pallbearers are Dennis Duncan, Phillip Fulton, Don Kemp, Chad Lovorn, Kelly Parrot and Tommy Wilson. Honorary pallbearers are Douglas Lovorn, Rudy Lovorn and Calvin McClellan. Memorial contributions in honor of J. P. may be given to Middleton United Methodist Church Cemetery Fund.
